This hands-on session will teach you how to create your own music-reactive LED lights using the open-source software WLED.
The engineer, DJ, and lighting expert Thomas Ascioglu will lead the workshop and share insights from his project EMRSIV, which he has built upon
his background as a lighting technician at Tresor, Bucht der Träumer, Mystic Creatures Festival, and others.

17:00 - 17:15 - Story and Vision of EMRSIV
17:15 - 17:30 - Assembly of EMRSIV LED Tubes
Each participant will get one EMRSIV LED Tube DIY Kit and assemble it.
17:30 - 18:00 - Introduction to WLED
Each participant will go through the following steps with their LED Tube:

• Flash WLED firmware on the controller
• Connect and control the tube with the WLED App
• Get familiar with the effects and pick you favorites

18:00 - 18:15 - Introduction to EMRSIV lighting
I will explain the lighting concept behind EMRSIV and how to set it up using the EMRSIV App
18:15 - 19:00 - Installing the lighting for the anniversary party

Together we will:

• Connect all LED Tubes to the EMRSIV system
• Define light groups, scenes and effects
• Place the tubes in the Arena where they will stay for the party.

What you should bring

• Your laptop with Chrome browser installed and a USB-A port (bring an adapter if you only have USB-C).
• Your smartphone with WLED installed (Android / iOS)
